Governments have fallen. Technology ruled obsolete & long distance communication impossible save for brief, sporadic radio frequencies. Family members are separated and desperate to be reunited, or to simply know if their loved ones survive. Yet none of these prove to be the biggest challenge of the new world.

Here the dead dance, animated by a disease of unknown origin, spreading the virus through gnawing and clawing. No man nor beast are safe. Anyone can become part of the Morior, the Decay, those withering away.

A few bands of survivors are doing their best to find others like them, lost and confused, searching for family and friends, and still Clean. They become one another’s new family and do their best to care for and protect each other. A select few people make up the heart of the group, deciding where they will go an what their next move will be. Others would prefer to travel alone, as a Ranger, hopping from group to group as is best for them. 

But safety does not always come in numbers. Groups travel slower and require more provisions. Tensions run thick and true trust is a rare thing to come by. It’s a world of every creature for themselves. And what happens when someone gets bit? Do they dare tell their companions and face a sure death, or deny the truth to themselves and hide it from the rest?

The dead are dancing and they want to teach you the next steps.

This group is open to any & all fandoms. There will be no duplicates; character positions are first come, first serve. There will be a total of 10 different groups; whomever claims the role of commanding officer will also be able to claim the group’s location (ex. Eastern USA, the UK, Western Europe, Southern West Coast USA). Anywhere on the globe is up for grabs, but keep in mind the locations of other groups; if you’re across the pond from everyone else communications will not be easy.

To apply for a role simply message me with your character, whether they want to be part of a group or a ranger, & (if applicable) which group you would like to be a part of and which position you would like to hold (ex. commander, medic, guard, simple member, etc). There is no limit on group sizes, nor on the number of Rangers or Morior permitted to take part.

Keep all drama to IC please !! Absolutely no OOC drama will be tolerated. This AU is meant to be a fun & enjoyable environment for people to have fun in! NSFW content will be involved in this AU, mostly pertaining to gore, blood, and violence. Please tag any threads which involve such accordingly.
